EMDR Consultation

You trained in EMDR.
Somewhere along the way,
you stopped using it.

That pattern is common after training. Small-group consultation gives you a supported way back, led by an EMDRIA Approved Consultant™.

Why It Slips Away

You have the training. Now you need support.

01

The protocol feels rigid

Basic training teaches the steps. Real cases often require judgment beyond the workbook.

02

Complex cases stall

Dissociation, blocked processing, feeder memories. One stuck session becomes a reason to reach for something safer.

03

You practice alone

A place to bring hard cases helps confidence return between sessions.

There’s a way back. Join the listTakes 20 seconds. Early notice first.
Why Consultation

Case feedback is the missing layer after training.

After training

  • Theory and demonstrations carry you only so far
  • Protocol can feel rigid under pressure
  • Stuck sessions need a place to land
  • Confidence needs repetition between workshops

With consultation

  • Your actual cases, reviewed week over week
  • Protocol becomes flexible and clinical
  • Stuck points become teaching moments
  • Confidence builds through repeated case feedback
Early OctoberThe next group is planned for early October, Eastern Time.
Six seatsA small group for EMDR-trained clinicians returning to active practice.
Refresher webinarsOptional weekly webinars support the live consultation sessions.
How It Works

Seven group sessions, one focused structure.

Session 1

Kickoff: goals and case mapping

Where you are with EMDR, which cases you want to move, and what confident practice looks like for you.

Sessions 2–6

Live group consultation

De-identified case consultation, protocol questions, and practical feedback for clinicians returning EMDR to active practice.

Session 7

Wrap-up & next steps

Integration, documentation reminders, and a clear plan for what support or consultation you may need next.

What you practice in the group

EMDR feels reachable again

You practice choosing where EMDR fits instead of automatically setting it aside.

Complex cases have clearer next steps

Dissociation, blocked processing, feeder memories. You work through those questions with the group before the next client hour.

Protocol fidelity gets more flexible

You practice adapting the protocol without losing the structure that makes it useful.

Your next step is clearer

You leave with a practical sense of what support, consultation, or practice rhythm you may need next.

What Clinicians Say

In their words.

“EMDR is not easy; Timothy made it easy.”

“Timothy is methodical, sharp, extremely intelligent, and well-versed on psychotherapy in general and trauma, anxiety, and depression specifically. His knowledge, shared with zero pretense, is extensive and deep. … The consultations were a lot of fun!! I wish my academic life had been more like that. Simple, efficient, and integrated. Go for it, 100% worth it!!”

— Rome Correia, LPC, LCADC, PhD, MA · completed group & individual consultation toward EMDR Institute course requirements and EMDR certification

“He doesn’t impose a formula — he listens, attunes, and offers insight that feels precise and personally resonant. Every session left me more anchored in myself and more effective in the room with clients. I can’t recommend Dr. Vermillion highly enough.”

— Esther Adams-Aharony

“Dr. Vermillion didn’t hand me answers — he asked the right questions, the ones that helped me refine my voice, my boundaries, and my direction. His coaching supported not just how I practice, but who I am in the work.”

— Esther Adams-Aharony

“Dr. Vermillion stands out as one of the most consummate providers I had the opportunity to work under. … I recommend him without reservation. I am confident he will continue to lead the way in educating the next generation of clinicians as well as continuing to treat our nation’s most vulnerable heroes.”
